SAT Prep
This course was extremely helpful to me. Having the strategies that I learned throughout this course makes me feel much more confident about taking the SATs. I was very nervous about the essay section, but now knowing how to go about my essay and having an outline to go by, I feel much less nervous about this section.
Kelcie, Exeter, NH (Exeter High School, ’07)

I really liked how the class was shorter and more to the point than other SAT classes. It was much easier to remember techniques. I also like how we did the practice tests at home.

I enjoyed this class very much. By taking this SAT course I learned much more about the test than I knew before. I was nervous and stressed out about the SAT and this class gave me confidence and relaxed me and convinced me that doing well is about strategy and not necessarily one’s knowledge. Thank you!
Lucy, Durham, NH (Oyster River High School ’07)

I really enjoyed the course. I think that I have definitely improved my scores. When I took the practice test the first day, many questions completely baffled me. As classes went on, homework became an easy task and I felt less nervous about taking the SATs. I definitely fell way more prepared.

Great class. I really enjoyed the pace of the class, how we were able to learn techniques that will make the test easier. I think the biggest thing I gained was confidence in taking the test.

Prof. Corbin’s SAT course has helped me to understand that anyone can receive a decent score on the SAT by following his philosophy. Knowing what I know now I am very confident going into the SAT.

I loved the course. I felt like it really meant something to Prof. Corbin, that he really wanted to help me and listen to what I had to say. It was great. I learned a lot!
Jillian, Stratham, NH (Exeter High School, ’06)

Over all, very well time spent. Understanding that the SAT is mostly mental, I did not know what to expect from this course. Your teaching style and over all well-rounded personality have given me the confidence I need to conquer the SAT. MY main goal taking the course was to boost my math score and I have. My reading and writing scores have also gone up as well. Thank you and keep it up.
Cody, Stratham, NH (Exeter High School, ’06)

This course helped me learn new techniques for cracking the SAT. The part of the course that helped me the most was cracking the critical reading and writing sections. This course definitely helped me for the SAT.
Tori, Barnstead, NH (Coe-Brown High School ’06)

I thought the course was an excellent way to learn about the math, critical reading, and writing sections. I especially enjoyed the sessions on the writing portion of the exam. I expect that I will be able to do better when I take the exam next year.
— Chris, Exeter, NH (Exeter High School '06)

This course definitely helped me. It lets you in on keys to “cracking” the test you otherwise wouldn’t have known. It significantly raised my confidence in taking the SAT as well, which is a major component of taking the test-having the right frame of mind. This course refreshes your memory on basic concepts necessary to be aware of for the SAT, and does help you conquer, and “crack” the SAT. Thanks!
Megan, Lee, NH (Oyster River High School, ‘06)

I liked the small size of the class. It really allowed me to ask any questions that I had and be given the time to learn the techniques. I think my SAT score will really benefit from the course.
— Colby, Exeter, NH (Exeter High School '06)

The first session was helpful from the start. Just being able to break down what the test is. The other sessions were helpful in showing ways how to approach specific questions and answer certain questions.
— Tristan, Durham, NH (Oyster River High School ‘06)

This course helped me to approach math problems from another perspective, in a more general and less mind-boggling manner. I can use my time more efficiently and feel prepared for the SAT next week. This class was certainly worth my time. Thank you.

Dan, North Attleboro, MA (North Attleboro High School ’06)

This class really seems like it will help. I am more confident now going into the SAT than I was a week ago. After taking numerous practice tests and applying the helpful hints I’ve been getting, I can already see the tremendous jump in my scores. Overall the class was very effective and I feel I have gotten a lot out of it.
— Sam, Lee, NH (Oyster River High School ‘06)

I have gained more confidence in preparation for the exam. It has taught me some tricks to look for. I enjoyed the small class size and the ability to focus on more of a one-on-one basis. Not thrilled about the homework (taking the practice exams in between classes) on the 1st day, but after the 1st assignment it became helpful to see what types of problems/questions would be on the exam.
— Jeffrey, Stratham, NH (Exeter High School ‘06)

I think this course has been very helpful and will aide in my SAT scores. The one-on-one atmosphere helped the class conform to my personal needs. Overall I am pleased with this class and hopefully will be pleased with the results. Prof. Corbin is very serious about the new SATs and his attitude has been a driving force for me to score well.
— Jason, Lee, NH (Oyster River High School ‘06)

I thought the course was interesting. The math and essay portions were what I needed the most help on, so I appreciate the help. I am also glad that we have the study packets to use in preparing for October.
Alyssa, North Tonawanda, NY (North Tonawanda High School ’06)

I thought the course was excellent. If you want to get ready for the SAT without having to worry about getting bogged down in a longer course, I would highly recommend the Seacoast Tutoring Center’s SAT prep course.
— Elliot, Exeter, NH (Exeter High School, ‘05)

I think that the course was a great way to learn how not to know every answer yet still be able to eliminate the answers that are wrong. I learned a lot about taking the test itself, and to be calm and think through everything with common sense. It also helped getting used to taking the practice tests. To me, it was time well spent. I needed the help and I got it. It was just a great prep course overall.
— Nick, Durham, NH (Oyster River High School ‘05)

I definitely feel that the course was worth it for me. I already had a feel for the SAT, but now I have a good grip. The course has provided me with new confidence that I hope to bring the next time I take the test. I found Professor Corbin to be a nice, down to earth guy from whom it was easy to learn. Through his strategies, I know I will be able to do my best. Thanks!
— Ashley, Brentwood, NH (Exeter High School ‘05)

I think this course was both worthwhile and helpful. Although I have already taken the SATs once, this course informed me of a lot of techniques that I will be sure to use on October 9th. For me, the math section was the most helpful in terms of review. I was glad to hear that the course will soon include two math days because I feel that it is important that everyone review basic math concepts/strategies before taking the test. Also, Prof. Corbin's teaching strategies were extremely clear, concise, and informative. Thanks for everything!
— Courtney, Rochester, NH (Spaulding High School ‘05)

I enjoyed this course because it gave me ideas and hints that will help me when taking the SATs. I especially liked the math because I learned some new ways to solve problems that I never knew before. Hopefully these skills will improve my score on both verbal and math. Overall, I am glad that I took this course. Thanks!
— Karina, Rye, NH (Portsmouth High School ‘05)

This class helped me gain a better understanding of the SAT test and gave me skills which I will apply to do better on the SATs. The practice tests each week allowed me to apply the skills I was learning.
— Molly, Durham, NH (Oyster River High School ‘05)

I think that this course is very helpful. I had no idea that the classes would be so small and that we, the students, would get so much help in a sort of one-on-one way. Mr. Corbin was very informative and was very helpful in the way he would explain things. I happened to be sick on one class and didn't make it that day and it was no problem making up the class.
— Greg, Stratham, NH (Exeter High School ‘05)

I thought this course taught me alot about the verbal section of the SAT. Verbal has always been my weakness, but now hopefully it will be my strength.
— Ricky, Durham, NH (Oyster River High School ‘05)

I really like how the classes are on Saturday morning.
— Tara, Hampton Falls, NH (Winnacunnet High School ‘05).

This course helped me a lot in regards to the ways of breaking down the SAT and “figuring” it out. I’ve learned a lot of helpful methods, esp. in math, that will cut my time, and help me think more logically.
— Sarah, Stratham, NH (St. Thomas High School ‘05)

I thought that this class was very beneficial. I used to think of the SAT test and shudder, but now I’ve learned skills of elimination and narrowing down possibilities. Thank you for your time and dedication.
— Emily, Kensington, NH (Exeter High School ‘05)

This course was the perfect length. One class period per subject; any more would have been tedious, less wouldn’t have been enough. The whole idea and theory presented in the class on how to approach the SATs will definitely affect my final score in a positive way.
— Laura, Hampton, NH (Winnacunnet High School ‘05)

This course is very informative. I really did learn a lot of good techniques in order to crack the SAT. I thought Prof. Corbin was very intelligent and knew what he was talking about! Thank you for your help!
— Emily, Exeter,NH (Exeter High School ‘05)

I liked the course because I didn’t know how to write the essay before I came here, and now I have a good idea of how to write it.
